This is a letter from Kathy regarding their first show.
The above two photos are from his first show with Kathy in Ohio. Don't they look
terrific?! What a polished turnout.
<<< Denise,
The show went great! Logan was wonderful! The neatest part of the
day was
all the complements I got on Logan. If I heard it once I heard it 50 times
from all different people "What a gorgeous horse" and "He is so beautiful".
Even had several people ask if he was a Riverman baby-one of them being
one of the JUDGES! This judge also proceeded to tell me what tremendous
potential I had to work with and how he seemed to have a very good and
solid foundation. Logan not only looked good but his behavior was STELLAR!
He handled himself very professionally for a young horse at his first show
under saddle. Of course he did some baby-type things like gawking around a
bit and I could feel him wanting to be drawn back to where all the other
horses were when we were showing but he never, ever really misbehaved at
all. I am extremely proud of him. I will email you a picture of
Logan at
the show after my husband gets home as I don't know how to do the
attachments and he does. We did score a 64.5 in one class and 56.19 in the
other but that was not the point of the day. We went just to get some
practice and I couldn't be more pleased. >>>
Logan was just 30 days under saddle in this photo.
Logan at 2 months.
Rivermoon
is the only foal in the United States to receive a 9.0 Overall score (out of
538) in 1999 (the old scoring system) and from 1999 to 2001 he was one of only
two foals to receive a 9.0 overall score out of 1592 inspected. His scores were
9.0, 8.5 and 9.0 with an overall score of 9.0. He is an impressive horse
whom stands 16.3 hands at 3 years old. He has been shown successfully
in-hand and has been trained under saddle at Hilltop Farm for 90 days. He shows
incredible talent for jumping and dressage. His great character is an indication
of his future Grand Prix goals.
